Peekaboo is a gentle cat who was rescued with his two brothers from an extremely neglectful situation in May of 2019. He was estimated to be 7 years old at that time. Peekaboo was in very poor condition - he was underweight, anemic, congested and had significant dental issues. With time and proper vet care, Peekaboo's conditon has  improved significantly and he is now leading a much happier life in foster care with his brother, Buddy, and very close friend, Oreo. Peekaboo tested positive for FIV and does have chronic, mild sniffles. All of his remaining teeth had to be pulled but he eats both canned and dry food without difficulty. Peekaboo is a a sweet fellow and is more quiet and reserved than Peekaboo and Oreo, but all live very happily together. He would certainly welcome adoption into a loving home with his brother, Buddy, or as a companion to anopther FIV+ cat who would like a calm friend and companion.

Adopting from The Cat Shack

The Cat Shack rescue is all volunteer and the adopted cats are delivered to your home. Because we deliver the cats to you, we must restrict the adoptions of our highly adoptable cats to a 1 hour drive from the Allentown PA area. In certain situations, 'special-needs' cats, ferals and older cats will be adopted to homes at a greater distance then a 1 hour drive from Allentown PA.

All cats are vaccinated, dewormed, tested and altered as part of the adoption contract. This basic care (and other vet work required to make our rescues healthy) is included in the $85 adoption donation!
