Most Recent Update 9/6/2022 - Lenox, now Leo, was adopted and living happily in what we hoped was his forever home.  However, Leo's owner passed away very unexpectedly, and Leo is now back with us looking for a new home.  This has been traumatic for Leo and his housmates, Harley and Amy (also listed), and they are all understandably a bit shell shocked.  Poor Leo took some time to adjust to his previous home, so now that he's been uprooted, we expect it will take him some time again.  

Leo is a sweet boy, and is fine with other cats.  He is still very shy, and will growl if he is unhappy, but is not aggressive, and would rather hide than cause trouble.  Leo is going to need a patient owner who is willing to give him a fair amount of time to adjust to his new family.  Leo is a sweet guy underneath all his fear, and just needs a quieter home willing to take a chance on him and give him plenty of time to settle in and show his true personality.  

If you are wiling to give Leo space and time, please apply to adopt him. He has had a tough few months and has been taken from his safe space, so really could use a break and a patient, understanding owner.

3/2/16- Lenox is still located at Dogtown in Colmar! He is growing and showing a lot of couragous behavior! The volunteers there are working their magic and he has shown excellent progress. He is good with other cats and now coming out of the cages to wander around! Eating and drinking well! He is a happy boy!

2/19/16- Currently Lenox is at DOGTOWN in Colmar, PA! He is getting some extra handling, love and care with our great volunteers! We are hoping that this will give him the extra push he needs to open up more and be the cat we see him to be! He is eating and drinking very well, likes to hide but again once he opens up I don't see him hiding anymore. Slowly making progress with him.

Adopting from The Cat Shack

The Cat Shack rescue is all volunteer and the adopted cats are delivered to your home. Because we deliver the cats to you, we must restrict the adoptions of our highly adoptable cats to a 1 hour drive from the Allentown PA area. In certain situations, 'special-needs' cats, ferals and older cats will be adopted to homes at a greater distance then a 1 hour drive from Allentown PA.
