Salem was originally adopted from the Cat Shack in 2016.  Through no fault of her own, she is back with us as her adopters were no longer able to keep her.  Salem has not let this get her down though & she came back to us just as sweet & loving as she always has been!

Salem is believed to be about 8 years old & while at times she enjoys chasing a feather toy …she also likes to sit on your lap & keep you company.  She is a perfect balance & it is hard not to fall in love with her!

While Salem may initially be a little shy, once she sees that you want to be her friend, she will come by your side & rub up to you for some pets.  She gets along with other cats & has even met a few kids here & seems to do well with children who are gentle & are taught to treat animals in a loving & respectful way. 

We are looking for a forever home for Salem & she would make a great family pet & companion.  Come & meet this sweet girl & see if she is a good fit to join your family!

UPDATED 2/23/16- Salem is a DSH all black with a beautiful coat! She is spayed, has all of her shots ( including rabies). She is loving and a total lap cat. She is great with other cats, interested in dogs (Hasn't been introduced). She is FIV/FELV neg!!
She is slightly active as she doesn't do much playing and would like to sit with you instead. She would make a great only cat too! 

**Don't let it throw you off that she's black because this girl is loving and loves her attention!**

She is eating and drinking, not declawed, and looking for her forever 

June 23, 2016- salem will be coming back to the cat shack as of 6/24. She will have a vet visit and will be getting some testing done for urination issues. She does use a litter box but is having issues. Once these issues are figured out and she is feeling better she will be back up for adoption!

The Cat Shack rescue is all volunteer and the adopted cats are delivered to your home. Because we deliver the cats to you, we must restrict the adoptions of our highly adoptable cats to a 1 hour drive from the Allentown PA area. In certain situations, 'special-needs' cats, ferals and older cats will be adopted to homes at a greater distance then a 1 hour drive from Allentown PA.

All cats are vaccinated, dewormed, tested and altered as part of the adoption contract. This basic care (and other vet work required to make our rescues healthy) is included in the $85 adoption donation!
