Rosey is available for adoption directly from her owner. He says: "Rosey must go with The Pic. She is approximately 6 years old, med. well marked calico. She is the most gentle and personable cat I have ever had. She loves to sit at the window and play with stuffed mice." Rosey is very affectionate and is quite a culinary adventurer, for a feline! She will try all types of food, from peanuts, to nectarines and beyond. But she also enjoys good old normal cat food.

Rosey's present owner is very ill and needs to find a new home for his cats soon. It is very obvious that these cats are very loved by their owner, and he truly wants to find new loving homes for them. They are all quite friendly, and they are listed as not good with children because they are "door darters", and their owner wants to ensure their safety in their new home.

In some cases we assist pet owners who are adopting out their pet directly from their home by listing the pet for them on our pet list web page. In these cases you will deal directly with the pet's owner. Contact information for these “adopt from owner” pets will be provided. In cases of direct adoptions from an owner, the terms of adoption will be dictated by the owner, not The Cat Shack.

Adopting from The Cat Shack

The Cat Shack rescue is all volunteer and the adopted cats are delivered to your home. Because we deliver the cats to you, we must restrict the adoptions of our highly adoptable cats to a 1 hour drive from the Allentown PA area. In certain situations, 'special-needs' cats, ferals and older cats will be adopted to homes at a greater distance then a 1 hour drive from Allentown PA.

All cats are vaccinated, dewormed, tested and altered as part of the adoption contract. This basic care (and other vet work required to make our rescues healthy) is included in the $85 adoption donation!
