Oreo is an extremely nice 8-9 year old fellow who is a sweet and gentle lap cat and gets along well with everybody. He originally came to TCS along with 2 other cats from a family facing multiple problems who could no longer adequately care for their pets. There were also two dogs in the household, so Oreo is used to dogs and comfortable with them.

Oreo was adopted into a small family in April 2007 in which he was the only cat. He continued his sweet and mellow ways and slept on the bed with his Mom every night. Unfortunately, due to a break-up of this family, Oreo has been returned to The Cat Shack and is now looking for a loving home once again. This time he wants to find a family who understands that adoption is a commitment for the lifetime of a pet, through thick and thin.

Oreo is negative for feline leukemia and FIV and is up to date on vaccines. He gets along with all the other foster cats perfectly, but is hoping to find his permanent, loving home very soon. He is a quiet lap cat who can be picked up and held and will be a mellow, loving companion. Please consider adopting Oreo if you have room in your home and your heart.

The Cat Shack rescue is all volunteer and the adopted cats are delivered to your home. Because we deliver the cats to you, we must restrict the adoptions of our highly adoptable cats to a 1 hour drive from the Allentown PA area. In certain situations, 'special-needs' cats, ferals and older cats will be adopted to homes at a greater distance then a 1 hour drive from Allentown PA.

All cats are vaccinated, dewormed, tested and altered as part of the adoption contract. This basic care (and other vet work required to make our rescues healthy) is included in the $85 adoption donation!
