8/1/08- Savvy update. Savvy's foster mom tells us that Savvy has becme much more relaxed around their dog and now we feel she could adjust to a home with a friendly dog. She loves her daily brushing from the kids in the family and is ready for a new home!
7/17/08 Savvy is a green-eyed, front declawed spayed female with long flowing hair. She is filling out and looking great! Her foster family say she is a very sweet cat and would be a great buddy for a lucky adopter. She dosen't like to be carried around for long by the kids in the family, but loves a cuddle and a brushing. What a beaut!

Original post-Savvy is a beautiful long haired, greeneyed beauty that was found as a stray. She was already spayed and front declawed. She was very friendly and was lucky enough to talk some neighbors into feeding her. This helped keep her safe until a rescue could be found. She is now tested Neg for FeLV/FIV, vaccinated and dewormed. She is a bit thin from her time outside but is eating well and should be a plump little house cat for a lucky owner.

General heath profile and thyroid check indicate Savvy is healthy!

All cats are vaccinated, dewormed, tested and altered as part of the adoption contract. This basic care (and other vet work required to make our rescues healthy) is included in the $75 adoption donation!

All adopters also get an adoption gift bag with some free samples of cat products and a 4lb bag of Science Diet cat food.

The Cat Shack rescue is all volunteer and the adopted cats are delivered to your home. Because we deliver the cats to you, we must restrict the adoptions of our highly adoptable cats to a 1 hour drive from the Allentown PA area. In certain situations, 'special-needs' cats, ferals and older cats will be adopted to homes at a greater distance then a 1 hour drive from Allentown PA.
