Ziggy is one of 4 miniature horses who has been a beloved pet of an elderly lady, who now sadly is no longer aware that these horses exist. Purchased in December 1982 at the age of 6 months as a companion for Zelda (see separate listing), Ziggy later became the father of Zachariah and Zucchini ( please see separate listings) before being gelded. This happy family has always lived together. Ziggy, the smallest of all, is now 24 years old, Zelda is 29, Zachariah is 20 and Zucchini is 18.

All of these horses are in wonderful health and condition. Do not be misled by their ages! Minis typically live very long lives, often well into their 40s and there are even cases on record of minis living into their 50's. These minis receive regular care from both the vet and the farrier. They are strictly pets and have never had any real training. They are extremely friendly and will come running for treats and attention.

It would be preferable to place the 4 horses together but if that is not possible, they can be adopted in pairs. They must all go to homes which will be permanent - they may never be sold or given away elsewhere. Should there ever be a problem in keeping them, they must be returned to the daughter of their owner, who will accept them back at any time.

Vet, farrier and personal references will be required, in addition to a pre-adoption visit to your farm. Transport of the horses to your farm will be provided without charge.

The Cat Shack rescue is all volunteer and the adopted cats are delivered to your home. Because we deliver the cats to you, we must restrict the adoptions of our highly adoptable cats to a 1 hour drive from the Allentown PA area. In certain situations, 'special-needs' cats, ferals and older cats will be adopted to homes at a greater distance then a 1 hour drive from Allentown PA.
