Photo Update: 5/9/06

9/13/2005 Woody is a gorgeous, young male cat that must have some Russian Blue in his family tree. He has a thick, but soft, plush gray coat and does not shed very much.

Woody is a very sweet and affectionate cat. He is not a lap cat, but does like to sit beside people and be brushed and petted. Although he is FIV positive, this should not be a deterrant if you are thinking of adopting him. He is playful, but has not been aggressive, and has never harmed one of his other housemates. Rough play will not transmit the virus, only deep bite wounds will do so.

Right now Woody is staying with 1 other FIV+ cats and is doing very well. He is affectionate and playful. He loves to play with his toys, as well as the other cats. He has a good buddy, named Bear who is also FIV+. Woody is a sweet, well mannered boy who has wonderful litterbox habits and a loving personality. All he needs is someone to see past his FIV status and give him a safe, loving home. Woody is fostering in Allentown with Jennie.

02/13/2005 Woody was found wandering the street of downtown Allentown. He has been for the past year. A kind lady was feeding him and two other strays and asked all the rescues in the area to help her but no one could. She finally came to us for help. We took all three cats in and all are doing very well. Woody is a handsome Russian Blue mix male cat who is now neutered and up to date on vaccinations and is negative for FeLV. Woody would do fine in a home with no other cats, or another FIV+ cat. He is a very playful and outgoing cat, and does like to be rough with his playmates, so any other kitties would have to be able to stand their ground with him. Please help Woody find his forever home. He really would love to spend the rest of his life indoors.

The Cat Shack rescue is all volunteer and the adopted cats are delivered to your home. Because we deliver the cats to you, we must restrict the adoptions of our highly adoptable cats to a 1 hour drive from the Allentown PA area. In certain situations, 'special-needs' cats, ferals and older cats will be adopted to homes at a greater distance then a 1 hour drive from Allentown PA.
