Three adorable young kittens (approximately 8 weeks old 06/13/08) are availble for adoption. Please read their story as written by their rescuer/foster Mom.
Since we have lived on the farm we have always had a few cats. Over the past few years it seems the farm has become a dumping place for people to literally dump their no longer wanted felines. Some have been friendly and some very feral. Being responsible we started spaying, neutering and releasing the feral cats back onto the farm and continue to feed them all.
At the beginning of May one of the feral queens made the mistake of giving birth in a dog biscuit box on our porch. We quickly moved the box into a fenced area so we could contain the newborns until they were old enough to take from mom. Bob and I handled the babies from day one. Mom would go to potty or feed and it was our time to instill love and tenderness and allow the kittens to become familiar with the human touch. Their eyes opened and I knew it was a matter of days before mom would start to move them. We decided it was time to take them from mom, so we did. They have been in my home since 4 weeks and as you can see from the photographs below they are loving kittens, socialized with people and longing for a home of their own.
If anyone is interested in them, please feel free to contact us. We are looking for indoor homes only, where the love we started will continue.
The first step to adoption is to fill out an on -line application.
