Are uninvited and unwelcome guests making themselves at home in your barn? If so, meet the solution to your problem!
Elliot, Lucky and Larry are serious, business-minded professionals looking for lifetime employment. These no-nonsense individuals have a strong work ethic and are willing to promise you a rodent-free environment in exchange for a cozy hayloft to live in, vet care as needed, and a steady supply of nutritious food and water. At this point in time, the boys have no interest in a personal relationship with you, but they are extremely enthusiastic about getting to know your rodent population "up close and personal......."
Elliot (buff tabby with white) showed up recently at the barn of a Cat Shack volunteer searching for food, but there was no chance of the resident barn cats welcoming him there. Lucky (gray/black tabby with white) and Larry (solid gray) are half brothers at least, born in successive litters to the same mother at a location where they were not wanted. Lucky received his name because he was the first young cat to be trapped by Cat Shack at that location after several of his siblings had been trapped and carted off to be euthanized by the people who claimed they just didn't know what else to do. Larry was trapped soon after Lucky and the brothers have teamed up with Elliot while in foster care and agreed to stick together permanently.
The threesome have been neutered, vaccinated, dewormed and tested (negative) for feline leukemia and FIV. They will be brought to an approved barn home by a Cat Shack volunteer and live there in a large dog crate for their first three weeks of residence so that they can become familiar with their new home base. Following release, they will quickly go to work to earn their keep. They are healthy, handsome and very anxious to get started. Please fill out a barn cat application form and get ready to put your rodent worries permanently to rest!
Please note :The first step to adoption is to fill out an on-line barn cat application, which can be accessed from our Home Page. All cats are vaccinated, dewormed, tested and altered prior to adoption. There is no adoption fee for barn cats, but donations are greatly appreciated.
The Cat Shack rescue is all volunteer and the adopted cats are delivered to your home. Because we deliver the cats to you, we must restrict the adoptions of our highly adoptable cats to a 1 hour drive from the Allentown PA area. In certain situations, 'special-needs' cats, ferals and older cats will be adopted to homes at a greater distance then a 1 hour drive from Allentown PA. The first step in adoption is to...
