About Jess-adopted!

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Cat
  • Rescue ID: TJ
  • Housetrained: Yes
Sweet tempered/Shy Jess was rescued behind the Contemporary Classics shop in Bethlehem. She was found with multiple injuries, possibly resulting from a mauling by an unfriendly dog. Jess has a corneal scar on one eye and is missing part of her tail, but aside from these minor problems she has recovered fully. She is a LUCKY cat, and she seems to know it.

Jess was thought to be feral, or unsocial to humans, but as she has spent time in her foster home we have realized she is just shy and sweet. She is easy to handle and has never offered to bite or scratch- she will just shut her eyes when she is scared! She gets along extremely well with other cats and is very submissive. She would be a wonderful addition to a home as a friend to an existing cat, but would take a little time to warm up to her new human room mates.

Jess is an adorable tabby with some red patches, and she has a round, sweet-looking face. This cat may not be a lap cat at first, but she will not cause any trouble in her new home. She is an "easy" cat, for sure. We think she knows how lucky she is not to be on the streets of Bethlehem anymore!

Jess is FeLV/FIV neg, spayed, inoculated and up to date with shots. She is estimated to be about 2 years old.

Adopting from The Cat Shack

The Cat Shack rescue is all volunteer and the adopted cats are delivered to your home. Because we deliver the cats to you, we must restrict the adoptions of our highly adoptable cats to a 1 hour drive from the Allentown PA area. In certain situations, 'special-needs' cats, ferals and older cats will be adopted to homes at a greater distance then a 1 hour drive from Allentown PA.

All cats are vaccinated, dewormed, tested and altered as part of the adoption contract. This basic care (and other vet work required to make our rescues healthy) is included in the $100 adoption donation!
