About Ira

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Cat
  • Rescue ID: TA
  • General Color: Orange (Mostly)
  • Housetrained: Yes

Ira and Jeremiah (see Jeremiah's picture in separate posting) are delightful brothers who were born to a feral Mom who had never been able to be trapped despite intensive efforts. Fortunately, she moved these babies into a garden shed when they were just barely 5 weeks old and she and the kittens were finally rescued.

Ira and his brother, Jeremiah, are everything kittens should be – happy, healthy, playful and adorable! Their estimated date of birth is April 15, 2004. These brothers definitely want to be adopted together since two kittens are always better than one! They have been wormed and have received their first vaccination and tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV. Neutering will be taken care of by The Cat Shack when they reach the proper age.

Adopting from The Cat Shack

The Cat Shack rescue is all volunteer and the adopted cats are delivered to your home. Because we deliver the cats to you, we must restrict the adoptions of our highly adoptable cats to a 1 hour drive from the Allentown PA area. In certain situations, 'special-needs' cats, ferals and older cats will be adopted to homes at a greater distance then a 1 hour drive from Allentown PA.
