This pretty girl is posted here for her owner and will be adopted directly from him. He fears his new hunting dogs will hurt this indoor/outdoor cat. Please help prettty Hazel find a good home!

This is what her owner had to say:

Hazel is not yet 5 years old. She is happy being indoors, likes to climb on people and meows with surprising determination when she wants something. This sweet, affectionate girl purrs easily, and has been know to jump into her owner's lap while he's working outdoors.

Hazel can take care of herself outdoors although she has no experience with traffic. She is small and gentle, but her claws can be prickly if someone holding her startles her and she wants to hang on. She had all appropriate shots and vet treatment until about nine months ago when she apparently went to live with someone else, returning recently. Her new family may want to consider making her exclusively an indoor cat, or supervise her while she's outdoors, as she obviously likes to wander!

She is OK around dogs but doesn't defend herself except by escaping -- the reason she has to leave her home, where three dogs hope for a chance to use her for a squeak toy.

The Cat Shack rescue is all volunteer and the adopted cats are delivered to your home. Because we deliver the cats to you, we must restrict the adoptions of our highly adoptable cats to a 1 hour drive from the Allentown PA area. In certain situations, 'special-needs' cats, ferals and older cats will be adopted to homes at a greater distance then a 1 hour drive from Allentown PA.
