Elf is a lucky kitten that was found without a mother and subsequently was raised by a foster human and a step-mom cat. He is an adorable short-hair tabby with lots of spots as well as stripes in his coat. He and Rupert are buds and want to be adopted together.

Elf and his two new born brothers were found by a man on the same day he planned to bring a different litter of kittens to a cat shack foster home. He decided to add these 3 little kittens (Rupert, Elf and Loci) to the mom and 4 larger kittens...all 7 kittens were then delivered to the unsuspecting foster home.

The poor mom cat tried to nurse all the babies, but the bigger kittens got the lion’s share of the milk and the foster mom quickly realized the 3 little step-kittens would need bottle feeding to survive. Elf and Loci learned to drink from the bottle and nurse from their step mom, Rupert would not nurse nor would he easily take milk from a bottle. For 2 weeks Rupert’s foster mom forced kitten milk into this struggling baby, usually getting more on his face and body then in his mouth! Elf and his brothers eventually got the hang of the whole eating thing and even learned to eat solids before their older step brothers!

He is still a little small for his age (8 weeks), but he is catching up to other kittens his age quickly. He is a calm, sweet kitten who can also very playful, swishing his tail and doing the butt-wiggle and pounce. Elf is FeLV/FIV tested and neg, vaccinated and dewormed. Will be neutered as part of the adoption contract and included in the $50 fee.

Adopting from The Cat Shack

The Cat Shack rescue is all volunteer and the adopted cats are delivered to your home. Because we deliver the cats to you, we must restrict the adoptions of our highly adoptable cats to a 1 hour drive from the Allentown PA area. In certain situations, 'special-needs' cats, ferals and older cats will be adopted to homes at a greater distance then a 1 hour drive from Allentown PA.
