Baxter is a handsome and very personable young fellow (2 years) looking for large amounts of love and attention. He will gladly return both! Baxter was saved just in the nick of time from the euthanasia room at a high volume kill shelter. Far too many cats had been brought in that day, so there simply was no room.....

Baxter is fun, energetic and anxious to be an active family member. He will fit in well in almost any busy household, as long as he will get the human attention he craves. Baxter does well with dogs and other cats and will arrive at your home and immediately act like he has always lived there. His ideal home will be out in the country in a very traffic-safe location, as Baxter has a habit of darting out the door whenever his family members are going outside. Because of that dangerous habit, he was tearfully returned by his first adoptive family who feared that he would soon be killed on their very heavily traveled street. They report that Baxter darts outside not so much because he wants to be outdoors, but simply because he doesn't want to be left behind when his people are going anywhere else! Baxter is like a faithful little dog who wants to follow you everywhere you go.

Baxter was incredibly lucky to escape from the shelter where he was initially found with 8 of his 9 lives still intact. If you have lots of love and attention to give him, he'll be happy to spend all of his remaining lives with you!

Adopting from The Cat Shack

The Cat Shack rescue is all volunteer and the adopted cats are delivered to your home. Because we deliver the cats to you, we must restrict the adoptions of our highly adoptable cats to a 1 hour drive from the Allentown PA area. In certain situations, 'special-needs' cats, ferals and older cats will be adopted to homes at a greater distance then a 1 hour drive from Allentown PA.
