Original message: Cute 3-4 week old bantam chicks are in need of a home. These babies will be placed into pet homes only and we deliver them personally so they will not be shipped.

Adopters should be located within a short drive from the Allentown PA areas. These little guys and gals will not have their mom to guide them so they will need to be confined for their own safety for approximately 5-6 months to protect them from adult chickens, dogs, fox, cats and hawks. They are tiny now (about 3 inches) so they should be kept in a secure pen with small mesh. They will grow into small hens or roosters and eventually they fly quite well, roosting in the rafters of barns or other suitable elevated space in a covered shelter. They have feather covered feet and the hens lay small brown eggs.

Adopting from The Cat Shack

The Cat Shack rescue is all volunteer and the adopted cats are delivered to your home. Because we deliver the cats to you, we must restrict the adoptions of our highly adoptable cats to a 1 hour drive from the Allentown PA area. In certain situations, 'special-needs' cats, ferals and older cats will be adopted to homes at a greater distance then a 1 hour drive from Allentown PA.
