8/14/2014 New Picture!  6/24/2014 Update- Sammie was adopted from the Cat Shack 3 months ago when he was just 5 months old and a fluffy, young kitten.  Sadly, Sammie was returned to the Cat Shack rescue a few weeks ago and now needs a new home.  His former adopter felt that Sammie was just too shy in her home and he was especially fearful when her friend's dogs would visit.  Since being back in foster care Sammie is doing well.  He LOVES other cats and he would be the ideal addition to a home with another young, playful cat or cats.  He can be shy with people so he is not the right cat for you if you want an instant lap cat (we do have lots of those available too), but he will really bloom with the right owner that takes the time to let him settle in at his own pace.  He loves being pet and brushed, but he will hide when things get loud and active in the home.  Sammie would make a wodnerful pet for someone that has a quieter home and other friendly felines for him to play with.  He's VERY handsome, he has ear-tufts and a fluffy tail.- new pictures

Sammie is a shy kitten rescued from an unsafe barn location. He has been treated for worms and fleas, checked for earmites (none), has had his first distemper and is FeLV/FIV negative. He was rescued with his sister, Paris. He is still unsure of inside life and other animals besides his sister, but is making great progress with his foster. His rescuer said that he likes to snuggle and purrs quite a bit once he gets himself comfortable!

The Cat Shack rescue is all volunteer and the adopted cats are delivered to your home. Because we deliver the cats to you, we must restrict the adoptions of our highly adoptable cats to a 1 hour drive from the Allentown PA area. In certain situations, 'special-needs' cats, ferals and older cats will be adopted to homes at a greater distance then a 1 hour drive from Allentown PA.
