In some cases we assist pet owners or rescuers who are adopting out their pet directly from their home by listing the pet for them on our pet list web page. 
In these cases you will deal directly with the pet's owner. Contact information for these "adopt from owner" pets will be provided.
 In cases of direct adoptions from an owner, the terms of adoption will be dictated by the owner, not The Cat Shack.

We began feeding a very friendly stray/possibly farm cat. After we made an appointment for No Nonsense, we soon realized she was going to have kittens very soon. 

She must have had the kittens in the woods behind our house or at a nearby farm, however, they were soon transferred to underneath our air conditioning unit at about 2 weeks of age. At this time we brought them in to our garage. Mom is nursing them (she is coming and going as an indoor/outdoor cat), they are using the litter box, and experimenting with food. They are extremely friendly, playful and sociable, and they are used to being handled (mainly by children after the bus stop each day!). 

We can keep them until the 6 week mark (around Nov. 24/25). At that time mom will be going to Pleasant Valley Animal Hospital for shots, spayed, etc. Despite our disgruntled and now very stressed, elderly cat, we are going to keep her as an indoor/outdoor pet. We truly appreciate anything that you can do to place these adorable, lovely kittens around that time.
