In some cases we assist pet owners or rescuers who are adopting out their pet directly from their home by listing the pet for them on our pet list web page.
In these cases you will deal directly with the pet's owner. Contact information for these "adopt from owner" pets will be provided.
In cases of direct adoptions from an owner, the terms of adoption will be dictated by the owner, not The Cat Shack.
I need to surrender my cats due to them not coming around at all since my son was born and now I am expecting another child. I feel they don't get the attention they need since my first son was born and when he was first born I had a problem with the one cat going to the bathroom in the crib which was never a problem before.
The cats are mother and daughter and were never separated since the daughter was born. In the picture below, Scarlet is to the left. She is the daughter. She is about 7 years ago. She is very friendly when she warms up to people and loves to be held. Although, it does take her some time to warm up to someone, once she does she follows you around like a dog.
Kisses is to the right. She is the mother and is about 12 years ago. She loves attention by anyone that gives it to her. She will walk up to strangers to get pet and sit on their lap. She is very much a lap cat and not a fan of being held. She is a very social cat.
