4/12/2013  Caesar is now shaved with a cute little Lion Cut and has received bloodwork (excellent) and a dental!  He did have to have some teeth pulled and this had made him much happier and more comfortable.  Caesar is ready to be adopted!

This handsome, SWEET cat just came into the Cat Shack rescue.  His owners divorced and sadly, Caesar and the other pets were dumped outside.  We are not sure of his age but between taking to the prior owner and our vet estimate it appears he is approximately 4-5 years old.

The Cat Shack's vet has already tested for FeLV/FIV (Neg/Neg), treated for fleas, dewormed and vaccinated him. Because the Cat Shack wants to see Caesar restored to health prior to adoption we want to see him receive more care then just "the basics"- he also needs a full-body shave, bloodwork and a dental so that he will be ready to start his new life in the best possible condition.

The estimate for this additional work is $400 that we must raise to help cover his needed vet care. The Cat Shack rescue is all volunteer and the adopted cats are delivered to your home. Because we deliver the cats to you, we must restrict the adoptions of our highly adoptable cats to a 1 hour drive from the Allentown PA area. In certain situations, 'special-needs' cats, ferals and older cats will be adopted to homes at a greater distance then a 1 hour drive from Allentown PA.

All cats are vaccinated, dewormed, tested and altered as part of the adoption contract. This basic care (and other vet work required to make our rescues healthy) is included in the $85 adoption donation!
