In some cases we assist pet owners or rescuers who are adopting out their pet directly from their home by listing the pet for them on our pet list web page. In these cases you will deal directly with the pet's owner. Contact information for these "adopt from owner" pets will be provided. In cases of direct adoptions from an owner, the terms of adoption will be dictated by the owner, not The Cat Shack.

Lil’ Moo can hardly be considered little!  He’s big loving guy that likes to rule the roost and sometimes needs to be reminded to mind his manners. He can be shy at first, but usually warms up to people fairly quickly, especially if they have treats for him.  He needs someone who will be patient with him as this is the only home he has lived in for 11 ½ years.  His elderly owner passed away a few months ago and he is desperately in need of a loving indoor-only home.  He has only lived with other cats and even though he likes to be the top cat, he seems to be willing to share his toys and is not a bully.  Lil’ Moo loves human attention, but is not particularly a lap cat and doesn’t like to be held.  He is more comfortable on the floor or a chair close by.  His main issue is a fear of the carrier and the vet.  The past few years he has been given a mild sedative before going for his yearly checkup and shots.
