8/10/11  Sweet little Vitamin is almost 8-weeks-old, has been dewormed, vaccinated and tested for FeLV/FIV and heart worms (negative)... He is ready for a new home!  

Vitamin is a very playful, active kitten that is not afraid of anything!  He plays with kids, cats and dogs.  This little guy MUST be adopted to a home with another feline playmate present (or adopted along with another kitten) to help him burn off his crazy kitten energy!  He has a handsome orange tabby coat with little white paws and a tiny white tip on his tail.

7/19/11 Original post: Vitamin has a bitter sweet story. His mom happened to give birth in a yard where the kittens were not wanted by the resident human.  When the babies were only 3-weeks-old, the home owner thought she collected all of the kittens and took them to a shelter.  Unfortunately, because of their young age and the conditions at the overcrowded shelter, they were most likely euthanized.   About a week later the home owner discovered she had missed little Vitamin when she took the other kittens to the shelter!  The woman was reportedly very angry to still have this little fuzzball in her yard. The young daughter that lived in the house decided she would try to save this baby from a trip to the shelter, so she went door to door in the neighborhood in an effort to give the kitten away. By a stroke of luck, Vitamin ended up with a former Cat Shack adopter and we were able to bring this baby into the safety of foster care.

Vitamine is currently about 4 weeks old and just starting to eat on his own.  He will be tested for FeLV and vaccinated when he gets a little older.

The Cat Shack rescue is all volunteer and the adopted cats are delivered to your home. Because we deliver the cats to you, we must restrict the adoptions of our highly adoptable cats to a 1 hour drive from the Allentown PA area. In certain situations, 'special-needs' cats, ferals and older cats will be adopted to homes at a greater distance then a 1 hour drive from Allentown PA.
