Looking for a petite sweetheart? Meet Azalea! This litle girl is estimated to be 9 months old as of July 5, 2011 and weighs 6 1/2 pounds. She loves attention, can easily be picked up and held and purrs happily. Her coloring is that of a Russian Blue but her tiny triangular face and slender build are that of an Oriental or Exotic shorthair. It may well be that she actually has none of those bloodlines in her, but she is very cute no matter what she is!
Azalea was rescued in early July 2011 from the yard of an elderly lady who feeds outdoor cats. Three other cats were rescued along with her, 2 of which are females that look like they are probably Azalea's sisters. Those 2 cats are feral, however, totally unlike friendly Azalea. If only they all could talk to tell us their stories!
Azalea has been spayed and vaccinated and tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV. Give her a chance and she will steal your heart.
The Cat Shack rescue is all volunteer and the adopted cats are delivered to your home. Because we deliver the cats to you, we must restrict the adoptions of our highly adoptable cats to a 1 hour drive from the Allentown PA area. In certain situations, 'special-needs' cats, ferals and older cats will be adopted to homes at a greater distance then a 1 hour drive from Allentown PA. The first step in adoption is to... All cats are vaccinated, dewormed, tested and altered as part of the adoption contract. This basic care (and other vet work required to make our rescues healthy) is included in the $85 adoption donation!Adopting from The Cat Shack
