4/2014Update!  Toby has received an amazing medical procedure for his hyperthyroidism and his tests show that his thyroid is funxioning perfectly normally now!  He does not need medication and is happier then ever.  He and his brother Tigger would LOVE to be adopted together.  They are sweet, loving cats.

Poor Toby and Tigger are being returned because their current owner took a new job that requires 50% travel.  Please consider adopting this handsome pair!  They are now 10 years old and have never been apart.  VERY sweet boys, healthy, up to date on vaccines.  Toby is mildly hyperthyroid and as a result takes a small amount of medication in his food once a day.  Please consider these 2 precious boys.

9/10/2010- Adoption!

8/16/2010 Toby and Tigger are being returned to the Cat Shack due to a child's allergies. These brothers were originally adopted from the Cat Shack as babies back in 2004. Their owners love these cats and are heartbroken. They have debated the return of these cats for almost a year but the health problems of their child make it necessary. The cats are now 7 years young, neutered, FeLV/FIV neg, vaccinated and SUPER LOVING! This is what their former owner had to say: "It was a tough decision to give them up and we are heartbroken. they are a bonded pair of brothers and we would love to see them adopted together. They are both neutered, tested Negative for FeLV/FIV, up-to-date on vaccines. We just had them at the vet in the spring. They are 7 years old. They both have their claws. Toby is the long hair cat and Tigger is the short hair. They both love attention and are sweet, purring lapcats. Both cats love to play, but Tigger is a little more playful. Tigger seems very happy-go-lucky, except when he wants food while Toby is lovable and active.

The Cat Shack rescue is all volunteer and the adopted cats are delivered to your home. Because we deliver the cats to you, we must restrict the adoptions of our highly adoptable cats to a 1 hour drive from the Allentown PA area. In certain situations, 'special-needs' cats, ferals and older cats will be adopted to homes at a greater distance then a 1 hour drive from Allentown PA.

All cats are vaccinated, dewormed, tested and altered as part of the adoption contract. This basic care (and other vet work required to make our rescues healthy) is included in the $85 adoption donation!
