This cat is available for adoption directly from his owner.  In some cases we assist pet owners or rescuers who are adopting out their pet directly from their home by listing the pet for them on our pet list web page. In these cases you will deal directly with the pet's owner. Contact information for these "adopt from owner" pets will be provided. In cases of direct adoptions from an owner, the terms of adoption will be dictated by the owner, not The Cat Shack. 

This cat's rescuer told us the following about her: 

Onyx showed up at my house in the summer of 2008.  Onyx was already neutered, as she appeared with the left ear already snipped.  I honestly don't even know for sure what sex he/she is, but I think Onyx is a girl, so we call Onyx a she.  Onyx is all black except for a white dot on her chest and has a very regal oriental shape.  She loves all the other cats, and constantly rubs against them and me when I come out with food.  I can pet her, but she occasionally gets nervous and bats with her claws in.  I don't know if she can be converted to a house kitty or not.  I think she could be with a patient and experienced owner.  She definitely would be suitable as an outside kitty as long as she is fed.  She runs into the house when I open the sliding door to see if the indoor kitties are getting something better than she is, and I have to shoo her out.
