Rexy is super sweet, friendly and playful. He would be fine as an only pet, or with another non-aggressive cat or dog.

Through no fault of his own, Rexy has been returned after almost 11 years in his adopted home. This handsome boy is now 12 years old and he’s hoping to quickly find a new home where he can spend his golden years.

3/24/10 update

Rexy is VERY handsome and friendly. He has classic swirly tabby markings that make him look very exotic, almost like a caramel and orange colored bengal. He is a sweet and sensitive young cat- he always wants to make friends, but he dives under his bed to hide if another cat hisses at him. He really loves to head-butt his foster mom and once he settles in he becomes an awesome, loyal and playful cat!

This sweet cat wandered into a yard several months ago and never left. Nobody was looking for this handsome young cat, but it was obvious he was once in a home. His rescuers fed him and watched him grow from a kitten into a young cat, but they couldn't take him inside because of cat allergies.

Rexy would follow his saviors around the yard like a puppy and try to come inside. When local feral cats started to pick on poor little Rexy their rescuers brought him to the Cat Shack so he could enter foster care and have a chance at a real home.

Rexy is now tested Negative for FeLV/FIV, neutered, vaccinated and ready for a new home!

The Cat Shack rescue is all volunteer and the adopted cats are delivered to your home. Because we deliver the cats to you, we must restrict the adoptions of our highly adoptable cats to a 1 hour drive from the Allentown PA area. In certain situations, 'special-needs' cats, ferals and older cats will be adopted to homes at a greater distance then a 1 hour drive from Allentown PA.

Young KITTENS are always adopted in Pairs or to homes with other felines already in the home. Click here to read why kittens are happier with a buddy!

All cats are vaccinated, dewormed, tested and altered as part of the adoption contract. This basic care (and other vet work required to make our rescues healthy) is included in the $85 adoption donation!
