Sally is a gorgeous, longhaired female who came to Cat Shack as a potential barn cat candidate, but has proven that she would like to be a house cat instead! Rescued from an outdoor living situation involving multiple cats and a very uncertain future, Sally is in perfect health and seems very happy to be off the streets. Her estimated date of birth is 03/25/19. She is living with multiple other cats in her current foster home and gets along with everyone well, though is occasionally a bit on the bossy side. She comes running to her foster Mom as soon as she appears and rubs up against her legs continuously while waiting for her food to be served. She can be picked up and held for brief periods of time and will no doubt improve with further practice.

Sally enjoys a limited amount of petting but reacts with a swat if petted too long or in a manner that doesn't appeal to her. This too will likely improve over time as Sally feels more secure in her adoptive home, but it does mean that she needs an owner who will understand her. It also means that she is not well suited to a home with children. Sally enjoys playing with toys and keeping an eye on whatever is going on.

Sally's hair coat is incredibly soft and lush and she has excellent litter box manners.  She is VERY fond of her canned food and will keep rubbing up against your legs until she gets it! Although admittedly still a little rough around the edges, she is a beautiful and interesting cat who will blossom in the right loving home.

The Cat Shack rescue is all volunteer and the adopted cats are delivered to your home. Because we deliver the cats to you, we must restrict the adoptions of our highly adoptable cats to a 1 hour drive from the Allentown PA area. In certain situations, 'special-needs' cats, ferals and older cats will be adopted to homes at a greater distance then a 1 hour drive from Allentown PA.

All cats are vaccinated, dewormed, tested and altered as part of the adoption contract. This basic care (and other vet work required to make our rescues healthy) is included in the $85 adoption donation!
