Scotty is one of ten cats that were abandoned in an apartment when their owners moved out. This extremely sweet boy is on the timid side but is now comfortable with his foster mom and enjoys being petted by her. He is very fond of other cats and will always want to have at least one feline buddy.

Scotty was extremely frightened when he first came into foster care and seemed to be on the verge of shutting down. He was significantly underweight at only 5.5 pounds, did his best to hide completely out of sight and was refusing to eat. A liitle time coupled with medication to stimulate his appetite got him going again and he has since blossomed. He now weighs a very appropriate 10.6 pounds! Scotty will be frightened once again when he is adopted into a new home, but a loving owner who will help him through the adjustment will be rewarded with a loving companion. A calm and quiet home will be the ideal for Scotty, along with a feline friend who will welcome him. Two of Scotty's companions from his original home are also available for adoption (Isabel and Vinny), and either of those would be a great companion for him.

Scotty is in good health and has excellent litterbox manners. He does have on and off mild watery discharge from one eye but this is not a significant issue. Scotty is up to date on vet care and negative for feline leukemia and FIV.

Scotty is extremely fond of treats such as Temptations and Feline Greenies, and these will help win the way to his heart! He comes into the kitchen of his foster home afer each morning and evening meal and sits and waits watching his foster Mom, making sure that she will not forget to hand out the treats.

Please consider this sweet boy if you can offer him the love and understanding that will allow him to thrive and love you in return.

Adopting from The Cat Shack

The Cat Shack rescue is all volunteer and the adopted cats are delivered to your home. Because we deliver the cats to you, we must restrict the adoptions of our highly adoptable cats to a 1 hour drive from the Allentown PA area. In certain situations, 'special-needs' cats, ferals and older cats will be adopted to homes at a greater distance then a 1 hour drive from Allentown PA.

The first step in adoption is to...

Young KITTENS are always adopted in Pairs or to homes with other felines already in the home. Click here to read why kittens are happier with a buddy!

All cats are vaccinated, dewormed, tested and altered as part of the adoption contract. This basic care (and other vet work required to make our rescues healthy) is included in the $85 adoption donation!
