Meet Asher -- a 12-year-old “tortie” (or tortoiseshell) cat who lost her home due to no fault of her own.
She (and cat brother Sarge) came to The Cat Shack when their owner was no longer able to care for
them and her dog. Asher is NOT bonded to Sarge, however, and (though presently in the New Britain
TCS cat room), would probably prefer a quiet home as somebody’s “one and only” kitty at this stage of
her life.
But don’t let her age fool you! She is STILL quite agile, able to jump up and around a cat tree in pursuit of
her favorite “prey” – Da Bird feather toy on a string. She also enjoys chasing laser lights and ruling the
roost from high places!
Asher even seems to want to snuggle with people she trusts, but she still has that famous “torti-tude,”
so is not appropriate for young children.
She is healthy, vaccinated, fixed and FIV/FeLV negative. If you think your home is a good match for this

check (call) and require an adoption fee. If approved, we will deliver her right to your home!

Adopting from The Cat Shack

The Cat Shack rescue is all volunteer and the adopted cats are delivered to your home. Because we deliver the cats to you, we must restrict the adoptions of our highly adoptable cats to a 1 hour drive from the Allentown PA area. In certain situations, 'special-needs' cats, ferals and older cats will be adopted to homes at a greater distance then a 1 hour drive from Allentown PA.

All cats are vaccinated, dewormed, tested and altered as part of the adoption contract. This basic care (and other vet work required to make our rescues healthy) is included in the $85 adoption donation!
