Sebastian showed up in spring 2021 on someone's deck who has been kindly caring for him since. He is friendly and loves to be petted. He frequents the deck where he is fed and petted, but we are looking for a safer place where he won't be crossing busy streets. He is an excellent hunter, so a barn space is an option in addition to seeing how he would do indoors.

***December 20201 update - Sebastian has been vet checked and is heathly. He has adjusted well to living indoors (was probably a house cat previously), is very well behaved, and uses the litterbox. He still wants to go outside sometimes, but his caretaker is working on that. He is wonderful and the sweetest cat his caretaker has met. He loves to be petted and has a loud purr motor!

The other resident cat hasn't been adjusting well to Sebastian living indoors. Sebastian likes the other cat, but she has been instigating some spats. His caretaker is trying to make the situation work out between the two, but it may be best for him to find his own home where he can be loved.

He would probably also be ok in a barn situation as he was living outdoors when found.

Adopting from The Cat Shack

The Cat Shack rescue is all volunteer and the adopted cats are delivered to your home. Because we deliver the cats to you, we must restrict the adoptions of our highly adoptable cats to a 1 hour drive from the Allentown PA area. In certain situations, 'special-needs' cats, ferals and older cats will be adopted to homes at a greater distance then a 1 hour drive from Allentown PA.

The first step in adoption is to...

Young KITTENS are always adopted in Pairs or to homes with other felines already in the home. Click here to read why kittens are happier with a buddy!

All cats are vaccinated, dewormed, tested and altered as part of the adoption contract. This basic care (and other vet work required to make our rescues healthy) is included in the $85 adoption donation!
