NUGGET is a friendly kitty whose fun-loving personality belies his sad past…

At about 3 years old (est.) he was abandoned by previous owners and dumped in a Philly cat colony. Very thin and struggling to survive, kind colony caretakers pulled him and asked The Cat Shack (TCS) for help. TCS jumped into action—quickly vetting him and placing him in the Dog Town New Britain cat room, where he is now the unofficial “greeter” to everyone who walks in the room! While he gets along with the other cats and human visitors are fine for now, he really wants a family and a home of his own…

Nugget is super out-going and great with kids, and so would likely do best in a fairly active home—ideally with another youngish cat as he LOVES interactive play of any kind.

This fun guy also enjoys petting and just wants in on the action! If you think your home is a good match for an out-going guy like Nugget, put in an app with TCS or come visit him in the DT NB cat room. (We guarantee he’ll win you over.)

Nugget is neutered, vaccinated and NEGATIVE for heartworm, FeLV and FIV.

Adopting from The Cat Shack

The Cat Shack rescue is all volunteer and the adopted cats are delivered to your home. Because we deliver the cats to you, we must restrict the adoptions of our highly adoptable cats to a 1 hour drive from the Allentown PA area. In certain situations, 'special-needs' cats, ferals and older cats will be adopted to homes at a greater distance then a 1 hour drive from Allentown PA.

All cats are vaccinated, dewormed, tested and altered as part of the adoption contract. This basic care (and other vet work required to make our rescues healthy) is included in the $85 adoption donation!
