We began fostering Fey on Friday July 10th. It was only a few hours of some initial unease on her part before she began to be more comfortable around us and in her new room (which still likely had the scent of our two other cats, so she didn't seem to find that a problem). She began exploring the area more and sniffing us to become more familiar with everything.

The following morning, she was even more welcoming, allowing us to pet her, though she was still hesitant. After that, it's been a non-stop affection on her part. She is excited to see us when we walk in and is extremely friendly and affectionate. She is very playful, and fun, and would make an excellent companion to someone who loves lavishing attention on a welcoming companion.

Update: 7/10/2009

Beautiful Fey was initially adopted last year but was just returned to the Cat Shack. It seems Fey was having some difficulty adjusting to her new home with 5 other Siamese cats. She has been vet checked and is now back in foster care.

Original information:

Fey is a beautiful blue-eyed possibly siamese mixed w/tabby. Young female was found pregnant and ready to give birth to seven bouncing babies. Fey is now spayed and ready to be adopted into her forever home. Fey is a very sweet and affectionate cat but is not crazy about kittens romping on her to play. Fey would probably do best in a somewhat quiet home with older feline companions. She is current on vaccines, and has tested negative for FIV and FeLV.

The Cat Shack rescue is all volunteer and the adopted cats are delivered to your home. Because we deliver the cats to you, we must restrict the adoptions of our highly adoptable cats to a 1 hour drive from the Allentown PA area. In certain situations, 'special-needs' cats, ferals and older cats will be adopted to homes at a greater distance then a 1 hour drive from Allentown PA.

All cats are vaccinated, dewormed, tested and altered as part of the adoption contract. This basic care (and other vet work required to make our rescues healthy) is included in the $85 adoption donation!
