Filbert is a special little fellow born to a very sweet momma cat underneath a shed along with brothers, Christopher (Adopted!) and Alvin. All three boys are extremely people oriented and as delightful as any kittens have ever been. They are filled with the joy of life; they are happy, curious, playful and as highly active and more fun than a barrel full of monkeys! They are living together in a multi-cat foster home with their Mom, Katie, who very much enjoys playing with her boys almost like she is one of the kittens herself.

Filbert had a serious eye infection when he and his family were rescued. He is fully recovered from that infection but his eyes look a little cloudy and the inner (third) eyelid on his right eye is usually quite visible. The veterinary ophthalmologist who examined him says he will continue to lead a completely normal life and is not at risk of losing his vision. His vision might not be quite as clear as other cats but Filbert himself doesn't know that and is not handicapped in any way.. 

Cat Shack believes that life is better when shared with a friend. That means that each of the kittens needs to be adopted with another kitten, or else to a home where a suitable feline buddy and playmate awaits. Mom, Katie, needs a home too and certainly would be very happy if she was adopted with one of her boys, though that is not required.

The kittens have been neutered, received their vaccines and tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV. They are all ready for their new lives and to take over your heart and home.

Adopting from The Cat Shack

The Cat Shack rescue is all volunteer and the adopted cats are delivered to your home. Because we deliver the cats to you, we must restrict the adoptions of our highly adoptable cats to a 1 hour drive from the Allentown PA area. In certain situations, 'special-needs' cats, ferals and older cats will be adopted to homes at a greater distance then a 1 hour drive from Allentown PA.
