Roe is a very sweet young feral cat who hopes to find a barn home along with one or more of her foster buddies. Roe is a beautiful dilute tortoiseshell, a mix of pale shades of gray and orange and beige. She looks ever so slightly cross-eyed, which only enhances her appealing looks. Roe was trapped in the course of a large TNR project in Philadelphia, and started to give birth to a litter of kittens while she was still in the trap! The shelter to which she was taken had no space or resources for a new mom and her babies so they were slated to be euthanized. Fortunately, Cat Shack heard of this emergency situation and was able to quickly bring Roe and her newborns into a foster home. Sadly, one kitten did not survive but the other two did and they have since been adopted into a loving home.

Roe remains frightened of humans even after a number of months in foster care, so a caring barn home is the best option for her. She'll be happy to help with rodent control in exchange for room and board. She is spayed, fully vaccinated and negative for feline leukemia and FIV. Though she will keep her distance from you, she will be most grateful for a permanent home where she is wanted and cared for.

Adopting from The Cat Shack

The Cat Shack rescue is all volunteer and the adopted cats are delivered to your home. Because we deliver the cats to you, we must restrict the adoptions of our highly adoptable cats to a 1 hour drive from the Allentown PA area. In certain situations, 'special-needs' cats, ferals and older cats will be adopted to homes at a greater distance then a 1 hour drive from Allentown PA.

Young KITTENS are always adopted in Pairs or to homes with other felines already in the home. Click here to read why kittens are happier with a buddy!

All cats are vaccinated, dewormed, tested and altered as part of the adoption contract. This basic care (and other vet work required to make our rescues healthy) is included in the $85 adoption donation!
