Vera is a delightful, appealing kitty who is anxious to become your feline buddy. She appeared out of nowhere at a cat lover's doorstep in June 2019 and has been grateful for the food she has been receiving there. She has been desperately begging to be taken inside but the lady's severe allergies have prevented that. The search for Vera's owner has been unsuccessful. Sadly, Vera's microchip identified the original owner who had moved out of state and given Vera to someone else before doing so. The second owner has not been found, despite extensive efforts.

Vera loves and craves human attention! She will rub up against your legs, loves to be petted and can easily be picked up. Although she is co-existing with other cats in her Cat Shack foster home, she is clearly interested in a home where she will be the only feline. She seems to have no objections to dogs, so a canine housemate should be fine. Vera is now 5 1/2 years old but looks much younger. She currently weighs 7 pounds and has a long, slender build and an extremely long tail to go with it! The vet has given her a clean bill of health and Vera is now ready to become your feline heart throb.

The Cat Shack rescue is all volunteer and the adopted cats are delivered to your home. Because we deliver the cats to you, we must restrict the adoptions of our highly adoptable cats to a 1 hour drive from the Allentown PA area. In certain situations, 'special-needs' cats, ferals and older cats will be adopted to homes at a greater distance then a 1 hour drive from Allentown PA.

All cats are vaccinated, dewormed, tested and altered as part of the adoption contract. This basic care (and other vet work required to make our rescues healthy) is included in the $85 adoption donation!
