This handsome boy was rescued with his two brothers and several other cats from a very neglectful situation in May of 2019. Although Shadow would tolerate some petting while confined in his early days following rescue, he now keeps himself completely out of human reach since being released into the sizable foster facility in which he lives with multiple other cats.  The enclosed outdoor yard is his favorite place to spend his time, weather permitting. It is clear that Shadow prefers the outdoor lifestyle; he definitely wants to be a barn cat! He is available for adoption with one or more of his like-minded foster buddies and will no doubt earn his keep by looking extremely handsome hanging around the barn and also providing some rodent control services.

Shadow is neutered and negative for feline leukemia and FIV. He does have a significant heart murmur but does not seem to know that himself or care! Life is good as far as he is concerned and he just wants to enjoy it to the max in a caring barn home.

The Cat Shack rescue is all volunteer and the adopted cats are delivered to your home. Because we deliver the cats to you, we must restrict the adoptions of our highly adoptable cats to a 1 hour drive from the Allentown PA area. In certain situations, 'special-needs' cats, ferals and older cats will be adopted to homes at a greater distance then a 1 hour drive from Allentown PA.

All cats are vaccinated, dewormed, tested and altered as part of the adoption contract. This basic care (and other vet work required to make our rescues healthy) is included in the $85 adoption donation!
