Birch is a special boy. His mom, Trixie (who he'd love to be adopted with) was trapped as a stray and was too pregnant to spay.  She had 5 babies, but only Birch survived.  We don't know why his littermates didn't thrive, but Birch did, thank goodness.  He's strong, and scrappy, and one lucky, happy little guy.  He's special to all of us here at the Cat Shack.  

Birch is a typical playful, fun kitten, and is very bonded to his mom, Trixie.  Due to their special situation, we'd like to try to get them adopted together.  They're kind of a package deal.  Birch will be the playful, active, crazy kitten.  Trixie is shy, but with some love, will blossom in a great home.  She's a young mom at only about a year old, so she and Birch will also be playmates, and will happily chase eachother around your house and provide you with a lifetime of entertainment and fun.  

Birch is fine with other cats, as is Trixie, and up to date on age appropriate shots.  His neuter surgery is included in his adoption fee.  There was a friendly dog in Birch's foster home, so he could likely live with a cat savvy dog.  Kids are fine for Birch, but mom Trixie will take a bit longer to get comfortable with the little ones.

Adopting from The Cat Shack

The Cat Shack rescue is all volunteer and the adopted cats are delivered to your home. Because we deliver the cats to you, we must restrict the adoptions of our highly adoptable cats to a 1 hour drive from the Allentown PA area. In certain situations, 'special-needs' cats, ferals and older cats will be adopted to homes at a greater distance then a 1 hour drive from Allentown PA.

All cats are vaccinated, dewormed, tested and altered as part of the adoption contract. This basic care (and other vet work required to make our rescues healthy) is included in the $85 adoption donation!
