This lovely stray was living outside of an apartment in Allentown with her 2 kittens, Mango and Tamarind. Recently Xani vanished and was gone for 1 week. Her caretakers thought she had been killed, so they were delighted to see her return. Their delight was quickly replaced by concern when they noticed her rear leg was swinging in an unnatural way and unusable! They couldn't afford to have her seen by a vet so they contacted various rescues for help. Most of the rescues were overwhelmed and told her to simply have Xani put to sleep, but The Cat Shack and her caretaker had other hopes for Xani.

Xani was taken to The Cat Shack's vet and X-rays showed that her leg was dislocted and had a small fracture. Our vets repaired her leg and she now needs a cast, pain meds and time to heal. This special girl continues to have a wonderful personality and we are so glad she received the care she needed! The Cat Shack's vet bills are mounting for Xani's care- ANY DONATIONS toward this brave girl's vet care would be greatly appreciated!

Xani is spayed, FeLV/FIV neg, vaccinated and will be available for adoption in 6 weeks.

Adopting from The Cat Shack

The Cat Shack rescue is all volunteer and the adopted cats are delivered to your home. Because we deliver the cats to you, we must restrict the adoptions of our highly adoptable cats to a 1 hour drive from the Allentown PA area. In certain situations, 'special-needs' cats, ferals and older cats will be adopted to homes at a greater distance then a 1 hour drive from Allentown PA.
