What about Bob?  Well, at five years old Bob suffered a big loss when his human Mom passed away and his Dad was no longer able to care for all their cats. That’s how Bob and a buddy (SEE Hobo) came to The Cat Shack (TCS), however, at this point they are able to be adopted separately or together.

If you’re looking for affection, then Bob’s your man! He is also great with other cats, but might be just as happy to be your “one and only” love.

Despite his, um, “husky” build, he has become super playful and will even jump to chase a string toy. This is a good thing as he’s already lost a couple of pounds due to increased exercise—and we need his adopters to keep it going and get him down to his perfect “fighting” weight!

Bob will gladly sit for brushing—a favorite pastime of his—but his quirky adorableness includes a full body slam as he flops himself onto the floor at your feet. This is his love language and basically means “pet me please.”

For a big guy he is surprisingly agile and would be good with loving children of all ages.

If you think your home is a good match for this affectionate, friendly guy, put in an app with The Cat Shack today or come visit him at the New Britain Dog Town cat room!

Bob is healthy, neutered, vaccinated and NEGATIVE for heartworm, FeLV and FIV.

Adopting from The Cat Shack

The Cat Shack rescue is all volunteer and the adopted cats are delivered to your home. Because we deliver the cats to you, we must restrict the adoptions of our highly adoptable cats to a 1 hour drive from the Allentown PA area. In certain situations, 'special-needs' cats, ferals and older cats will be adopted to homes at a greater distance then a 1 hour drive from Allentown PA.

The first step in adoption is to...

Young KITTENS are always adopted in Pairs or to homes with other felines already in the home. Click here to read why kittens are happier with a buddy!

All cats are vaccinated, dewormed, tested and altered as part of the adoption contract. This basic care (and other vet work required to make our rescues healthy) is included in the $85 adoption donation!
