Calling all tortie lovers...this is Ava, and she needs a home. She went into foster care after her family didn't want to care for her anymore bc she was hiding in the basement and scratching herself. She was terrified, defeated and had a large infected open wound on her neck. Her foster was worried she wouldn't make it. After multiple vets, it turned out she's had environmental allergies - untreated - for 3 years. Now, she's on half a Zyrtec pill a day and is doing great. Her neck is fully healed, she's confident, sweet and ready for her forever home. She's microchipped, combo tested negative and good on vaccines for 3 years. She's super amazing (doesn't even have any tortitude) and deserves a loving family. Although she is not officially through a rescue, her foster mom fosters for ACCT Philly, and vetted and took care of Ava the same way she would with her other fosters. Ava's adoption fee is a $50 charitable donation to ACCT Philly, Philadelphia's nonprofit open intake shelter.

Adopting from The Cat Shack

The Cat Shack rescue is all volunteer and the adopted cats are delivered to your home. Because we deliver the cats to you, we must restrict the adoptions of our highly adoptable cats to a 1 hour drive from the Allentown PA area. In certain situations, 'special-needs' cats, ferals and older cats will be adopted to homes at a greater distance then a 1 hour drive from Allentown PA.

Young KITTENS are always adopted in Pairs or to homes with other felines already in the home. Click here to read why kittens are happier with a buddy!

All cats are vaccinated, dewormed, tested and altered as part of the adoption contract. This basic care (and other vet work required to make our rescues healthy) is included in the $85 adoption donation!
