Meet Jonah!  Jonah is a sweet, middle aged guy, rescued the day before Winter Storm Jonah hit the area.  Seems Jonah's family had moved, but left him behind.  He found some kind people at an Auto Tag shop, who contacted The Cat Shack to get Jonah a place to stay inside before the snow hit.  His luck has changed!

Jonah spent the storm weekend at TCS's vet getting checked out.  We discovered that Jonah is hyperthroid, which is a very managable condition.  Jonah needs an inexpensive medicine on his ear 2 times a day.  Very easy to do.  Other than that, he is completely healthy, neutered, and up to date on shots.

 Now Jonah is waiting patiently at our off site adoption location at Dog Town in Colmar, PA, looking for his new family.

Jonah's requirements for a family are simple...he would like some food, a soft place to snooze, and mostly, lots of love.  He aslo would request a family that will not leave him behind when they move.  Jonah is so sweet and loving, we don't know how anyone could leave this guy behind.  Jonah is pretty low energy, gets along fine with other cats, could live with kids, and possibly a cat savy dog.  He starts off shy, but is very quick to warm up when he feels comfortable.

The Cat Shack rescue is all volunteer and the adopted cats are delivered to your home. Because we deliver the cats to you, we must restrict the adoptions of our highly adoptable cats to a 1 hour drive from the Allentown PA area. In certain situations, 'special-needs' cats, ferals and older cats will be adopted to homes at a greater distance then a 1 hour drive from Allentown PA.

All cats are vaccinated, dewormed, tested and altered as part of the adoption contract. This basic care (and other vet work required to make our rescues healthy) is included in the $85 adoption donation!
