Xena is still a work in progress. She loves people, but she sometimes forgets how nice they are and runs away. She seems to flip-flop between thinking people are scary and remembering she loves them. She loves other cats and has been exposed to dogs. She is a little unsure about dogs. When she is with her cage mate, Lilly, who is super friendly, she warms up and wants to be petted right away. When Xena is doing her own thing and a person appears, she is startled and runs away. She is a very sweet girl though. She loves to play with the laser pointer. She loves other cats. She has a very loud motor and soft fur. The sooner Xena finds her furever home and settles in the more progress she will make. Xena, her brother, Frost were born outside and lived most of their lives under a porch. They had little interaction with people before they were trapped. On October 9, they were trapped with their mother by a Cat Shack volunteer. They have been living in a foster home ever since. All three were very frightened of people due to their lack of exposure. However frightened they were, they never hissed, bit or scratched at their foster family and only tried to runaway. Xena is the friendliest and most outgoing of the three kittens. She has the loudest motor. Sometimes, she still runs away from her foster family, but more and more she is letting them pet her and hold her. Once you start to pet her, her motor starts and she remembers the best thing about people. Xena likes to explore and is the leader of her siblings. If scared, her siblings will hide behind her. With more time in a home setting, her foster family is sure Xena will turnout to be the perfect kitty companion.

The Cat Shack rescue is all volunteer and the adopted cats are delivered to your home. Because we deliver the cats to you, we must restrict the adoptions of our highly adoptable cats to a 1 hour drive from the Allentown PA area. In certain situations, 'special-needs' cats, ferals and older cats will be adopted to homes at a greater distance then a 1 hour drive from Allentown PA.
