In some cases we assist pet owners or rescuers who are adopting out their 
pet directly from their home by listing the pet for them on our pet list web page. 
In these cases you will deal directly with the pet's owner. 
Contact information for these "adopt from owner" pets will be provided.
 In cases of direct adoptions from an owner, the terms of adoption will be
 dictated by the owner, not The Cat Shack.

George is about 3 years old and had found a home where he lived for 2.5 years. He was brought back to me when his family had no more room for him and no longer wanted him. He was reported to have constent upper respiratory infections and constantly throwing up after eating. He has been with me about a year and has not had a single upper respiratory infection. He does have digestion issues with some food types but is on a food that he tolerates pretty well. He is leukemia negative, neutered, declawed, micro-chipped and up to date on his shots. He is 3.5 years old, loves other cats and dogs and is good with children.

Adopting from The Cat Shack

The Cat Shack rescue is all volunteer and the adopted cats are delivered to your home. Because we deliver the cats to you, we must restrict the adoptions of our highly adoptable cats to a 1 hour drive from the Allentown PA area. In certain situations, 'special-needs' cats, ferals and older cats will be adopted to homes at a greater distance then a 1 hour drive from Allentown PA.

All cats are vaccinated, dewormed, tested and altered as part of the adoption contract. This basic care (and other vet work required to make our rescues healthy) is included in the $85 adoption donation!
