Alexander is a very cute, semi-feral fellow who came to Cat Shack directly from the North Carolina/Virginia border! A friend of the Cat Shack was traveling with her family from her home in NC to Bethlehem for a visit with a relative. The lady saw Alexander hanging around at a rest stop on the Interstate and looking like he was in need of a friend. Using her dog's crate, she managed to trap him and he was soon in the van along with the family on their way North. The lady put in an urgent call to TCS while traveling, asking for help. A Cat Shack volunteer met up with the family late that eveninhg as they were passing through Allentown and took Alexander into foster care.

Alexander was neutered, vaccinated and tested (negative) for feline leukemia and FIV the following day. He is in excellent health.  His birthdate was estimated to be in December 2013, or quite possibly a month or two later. He adapted to his new circumstances in foster care extremely quickly and gets along well with all of his foster buddies. He is a happy and active little guy who will make a wonderful barn cat. He is not pettable, but will come extremely close to his foster Mom, and even sniff at her outstretched hand.  He loves to play and has everything it takes to be a great mouser!

The Cat Shack rescue is all volunteer and the adopted cats are delivered to your home. Because we deliver the cats to you, we must restrict the adoptions of our highly adoptable cats to a 1 hour drive from the Allentown PA area. In certain situations, 'special-needs' cats, ferals and older cats will be adopted to homes at a greater distance then a 1 hour drive from Allentown PA.

All cats are vaccinated, dewormed, tested and altered as part of the adoption contract. This basic care (and other vet work required to make our rescues healthy) is included in the $85 adoption donation!
