This now 3 month old kitten has tested fainly + for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and would need to be adopted with her siblings or to a home that already has FeLV+ cats.  She is BEAUTIFUL and looks like a mini-maine coon.  Her sister MC-3 is identical in apperence but is a little slower to warm up, but once she does she rolls over for belly rubs!  Her brother MC-5 is a silver maine-coon look alike.  All 3 kittens are currently teting fainly + for FeLV so could be adopted together.  They are all very happy, healthy kittens at this time and have perfect litterbox manners.

10/12/2014 Update!
This adorable litter of kittens is currently on hold because their mother tested a faint + for Feline Leukemia.  They are not with their mother currently, but the Cat Shack’s policy is to wait a least  month and retest cats whenever there is exposure to Feline Leukemia. Feline Leukemia is caused by a feline-only virus so the kittens could potentially be placed in a home without other cats right now, but for people that have other cats that are Feline Leukemia negative, it would be too risky to add these kittens to their household until we can verify if they are negative for the virus.

We will keep you posted!

Thank you for your interest in adoption.

Original post:  10/6/2014  More info soon!

Beautiful Maine Coon mom and 5 babies were found on a kind lady's porch.  The babies are now 6-7 weeks old and will be ready for adoption at 8-weeks.  They just were brought in to foster care so we are getting to know them now.  VERY cute!

This kitten will be FeLV/FIV tested and vaccinated in a few weeks- she is dewormed, treated for fleas and vet-checked.  She will be spayed as part of the adoption.

Adopting from The Cat Shack

The Cat Shack rescue is all volunteer and the adopted cats are delivered to your home. Because we deliver the cats to you, we must restrict the adoptions of our highly adoptable cats to a 1 hour drive from the Allentown PA area. In certain situations, 'special-needs' cats, ferals and older cats will be adopted to homes at a greater distance then a 1 hour drive from Allentown PA.

The first step in adoption is to...

Young KITTENS are always adopted in Pairs or to homes with other felines already in the home. Click here to read why kittens are happier with a buddy!

All cats are vaccinated, dewormed, tested and altered as part of the adoption contract. This basic care (and other vet work required to make our rescues healthy) is included in the $85 adoption donation!
