About Puck* | |
|
Puck is one of 8 members of a small colony of FRIENDLY cats. My husband and I have been caring for the group over the course of the last few years. Because my life’s circumstances have changed dramatically, I will be moving out of the area. Unfortunately, it will not be possible for me to take these wonderful cats with me. Additionally, they are losing the right to live on the property where they now stay. All are in urgent need of new, caring homes. All are spayed or neutered and will be revaccinated as needed and retested prior to adoption.
Puck is the grand lady of the colony; she is the mother to many of the
kittens that we socialized and adopted out. When a lumber company took
over the shelter of the original colony, unfortunately the other cats
wandered away. But Puck was resourceful and managed to find shelter in
the bushes. We were delighted to find her still there, and eventually,
we were able to get her spayed. Puck greets me along with the other
cats as I arrive everyday by coming down the road to approach my
truck. She also follows me, along with the others, as I walk around
the grounds. As small as she is, Puck is still respected by the other
cats. She does not allow me to pick her up, but she does not shy away
as I give her dinner. After dinner, she steps forward and looks up
with her gorgeous eyes asking for the chicken, that she also adores.
Puck is getting a little older, perhaps 6-7 years, and would love not
to have to spend yet another cold winter outside. She would be a
wonderful companion to anyone who would open their heart and give her
a chance.
The other cats in the colony are Ginger-Rose, Boots, Josie, Sadie, Tsum-Tsum, Buddy and Cole. Please see their individual postings.
If you wish to adopt one of these beautiful cats and can provide a loving home for one or more of them, please contact me by phone (610.416.4877) or by e-mail (dhteach49@gmail.com).
With sincere thanks,
Janet Kennedy
