In some cases we assist pet owners or rescuers who are adopting out their pet directly from their home by listing the pet for them on our pet list web page.Abby is spayed, UTD on shots, FeLV and FIV neg, and microchipped. She is strictly an indoor cat and although according to the shelter records, she was brought to the shelter by her owners to be PTS, she acts as if she was really spoiled and is used to being cuddled and a lap cat. She likes to be with you and likes to sleep close to your neck. The problem is that the foster mom has 7 other cats, two with health problems, and Abby does not like it when I pay attention to them so she is becoming withdrawn.
In these cases you will deal directly with the pet's owner. Contact information for these "adopt from owner" pets will be provided.
In cases of direct adoptions from an owner, the terms of adoption will be dictated by the owner, not The Cat Shack.
I have worked with her, so she tolerates the other cats being around and does not chase them, but she is not happy.
I just need to find the right forever home. There is no cost for her, I just want to make sure she goes to a good home. She needs a home with someone who is looking for a companion, not just a pet.
