In cases of direct adoptions from an owner, the terms of adoption will be dictated by the owner, not The Cat Shack.
History:
One of my neighbors came home on Easter this year with two kittens for his young daughter. They kept them for two weeks and when their two dogs did not get along with them and they realized that they had fleas they threw them outside thinking that they could care for themselves.
The one kitten after four weeks ended up under my deck with a rope tied around its neck. In my ignorance I took it to the Humane Society thinking that they would find a home for her. A week later I went back to adopt her since I found somebody that wanted her. To my dismay they had already put her to sleep since they claimed she had ringworm and was emaciated. The other kitten got pregnant and had a litter of five kittens. They were living under my other good neighbors shed. We fed and watered them daily. In early Sept. one of the kittens got run over by a car in front of my house and was killed. We then trapped them and they have been living in my garage. I have taken them all to a vet and they have been all spayed, neutered, de-flead, and given a rabies vaccine. One of the vet techs adopted one of the kittens so now I have four homeless babies that need a home.

Mommy Cat: approx 10 to 11 mths old. Calico female, short hair, with beautiful green eyes. Very friendly. Loves to be petted and held. Loves toys with feathers. She always comes out of her bed when we come in to great us with rubs and kisses.

Puffy:  approx 11 to 12 week old male. Light orange, very fluffy long hair. Looks like a little serious lion in a kitten body. He is a shy boy, but you can pick him up, and he likes to be held. Likes to tuck his head under your arm and purr. He is the first one at the food dish every morning. Does not meow but makes funny little cooing noises and purrs constantly even when playing. Likes all toys.

Scared'y Cat:  approx 11 to 12 week old male. Light and dark orange short hair tiger cat. He is very shy and timid but is coming around. He is now the second one at the food dish in the morning. He loves to play and is very curious and rowdy. When he see's  his mother or brother Puffy playing he steals their toys for himself. Needs a loving person who will play with him and is willing to give him time to get adjusted.

Little girl:  approx 11 to 12 week old female, calico with beautiful markings. She is the shyest of them all, she likes to hide where nobody can find her. I always catch her looking out of her hiding place to see what is going on, she won't come all the way out until you are gone, but when you talk to her she blinks her eyes at you. She is also the smallest of the the kittens. She will need a quiet home with a very caring and patient pet owner that will give her the time she needs  to get adjusted to being a pet.

Please help find a home for these very beautiful animals. They deserve better life and a chance for a loving home with people that care.
