1/22/2015 DECLAWED SENIOR CAT. Owner went to nursing home leaving 3 elderly cats at home.  The cats were going to be euthanized to make the sale of the house possible so family, friends and Cat Shack volunteers stepped in to help.

Maxine is VERY sweet and quiet.

Maxine came to us already spayed and declawed.  She has now been tested for FeLV/FIV and had her vaccines updated.. Maxine is very afraid but still sweet..Needs a quiet home.Maxine had a full vet check and was determined to have limited vision possibly due to small bleeds in retina. She had blood work done and was found to be Hyperthyroid..Which could explain the vision problems. She is one Tapazole 2.5mg twice a day. She takes it very well when I crush it up and put in her food. She loves her soft food as she has had some dental issues. She does eat crunchy food also. She easily finds her litter box and food bowls. She is sweet but will require a quiet home prefer with her two brothers that she has lived with her whole life. She is very easy to take care of and has had no accidents with litter box and eats her meals like clockwork. Please consider this great older lady and her two brothers.

Adopting from The Cat Shack

The Cat Shack rescue is all volunteer and the adopted cats are delivered to your home. Because we deliver the cats to you, we must restrict the adoptions of our highly adoptable cats to a 1 hour drive from the Allentown PA area. In certain situations, 'special-needs' cats, ferals and older cats will be adopted to homes at a greater distance then a 1 hour drive from Allentown PA.

The first step in adoption is to...

Young KITTENS are always adopted in Pairs or to homes with other felines already in the home. Click here to read why kittens are happier with a buddy!

All cats are vaccinated, dewormed, tested and altered as part of the adoption contract. This basic care (and other vet work required to make our rescues healthy) is included in the $85 adoption donation!
