In cases of direct adoptions from an owner, the terms of adoption will be dictated by the owner, not The Cat Shack.

Mister Christmas is a wonderful neutered male orange tabby.  He came into my life between Christmas and New Years 7 years ago (thus his name).  Friends of mine in Philadelphia told me how he was rescued from the street but did not get along with the rescuer’s other cats so he was boarded in a kennel for six months, most of that time he spent in a cage.  One of my kitties had recently passed away due to cancer so I thought I would give Chris a chance.  He was a very friendly and loving cat from the beginning but did not like my other cats, nor they him.  It has been a struggle and as time went on he became more and more upset with his kitty brothers and sisters.  He also developed kidney stones and now has to eat a special diet (Royal Canin Urinary SO).  He has been on this diet for 4 years and does very well, with no further problems.  But because of his dietary needs and his inability to get along with the other cats he now spends most of his time in my spare bedroom.  I am hoping to find him a home where he can be the only cat and get all the attention and love he deserves.  Chris is OK with non-aggressive dogs.
